"Havensville, a tiny place on the map, was settled by pioneers from the eastern seaboard, and immigrants from foreign countries. Later on many settlers came from the South. Truly, we became a melting pot for which America was famous."

This is a quotation from the Havensville Centennial Committee book written by Mr. Leo Ellis as the introduction. The centennial year for Havensville was 1978 and this still describes the background for the town.

Havensville business places include Jerry’s Service, Jerry’s Place, Jordan’s Oak Depot, Rash Greenhouse, and Karen’s Beauty Shop. There is a Christian Church, the Havensville Historical Society and Museum, and a US Post Office. Just out of town to the east is a gas pipeline company.

Havensville Historical Society, now housed in the former Methodist Church. Hours are Wed. afternoons 1PM to 3PM, most Sunday afternoons from 2PM to 4PM, or by appointment. For more information email Mpinick648@aol.com or call 785-948-2690 or 785-948-3635.
