Each year Kansans produce about 3.2 million tons of trash,

which is enough to bury

100 football fields 3 feet deep in trash.

But we recycle only about 20% of it!

***Newspaper Drive!!

Start collecting for the 2009 early Spring Newspaper drive!  This drive tentatively will be held in February.  Watch for information coming out in local newspapers.  We make the most money if we collect 25 tons of newpaper so start hoarding them now!  Drop off locations are in Onaga in the blue bin that sits outside the west fair building that can be used at any time or can be brought to that building on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. and in St. George the basement of the white garage that is across from the old school sitting on the very northeast corner of the football field is open for depositing newspaper anytime.

It is greatly appreciated if newspapers can be stored at home between drives.
